Evaluation and Return on Investment
Some say evaluation is so hard to do, some confine themselves to ‘happy sheets’ and others talk theories but forget practical application.
Cullen Scholefield encourages training specialists to talk the language
of business so that expenditure on training is viewed as an investment.
Every organisation has performance measures. We help trainers to identify
these critical measures and link these to expenditure.
Training budgets tend to focus on the costs of external expenditure –
the cost of releasing people for training is huge and yet this is often
unaccounted. We do not promise to come to a perfect solution but we do
work with organisations so that a more realistic approach is adopted to
evaluation.
We achieve this by helping managers to understand the real
costs of training and then measuring the actual returns against their
organisational performance measures.
