Strategic Planning
The Human Resource function must be closely aligned to the organisation it supports. It is essential for the function to be focused and clear about the vision and mission for HR. This is easier to achieve when the HR function is relatively small but as the function grows it is essential to ensure that all the team is clear about the direction and priorities of the business and the HR function.
We have facilitated strategy development in complex organisations such as local government and organisations with locations all over the UK. The breadth of our experience combined with our hightly tuned interpersonal skills enables us to provoke thought and work towards a pragmatic strategy and plan that is 'owned' by the whole HR team. The aim being to enable the HR function to devise a strategy that supports and enhances the strategic direction of their client, the organisation.
The time for blue sky thinking is vital and often turns a re-active and pressured team into a pro-active creative team.
Our facilitation of a workshop will be highly participative with input on the lastest thinking around HR strategy, group discussion and exercises. At the end of the workshop we produce a report which details the process and presents the agreed actions - for example: the vision, mission and the values of the
HR function; the key goals; the outline objectives and an action plan that specifies responsibilities and targets.
